STEP is a hollistic attempt structured on the need to increase youth engagemnet in order to motiveta them by Youth Participatory Activities to be active in social and democratic life in Europe. STEP aims to support actors in the youth field – policy makers, researchers and youth work practitioners, as well as structures that represent young people to shape youth policies in theory and practice, by developing their capacity to do so. The renewed 2010- 2018 youth strategy of the European Union and the Agenda 2020 of the Council of Europe provide the policy framework in which this initiative was developed.
STEP has organized Youth Participatory Events and Mobilities to equip young individuals with a comprehensive understanding of European youth policy frameworks, stakeholders, and principles. Through evidence-informed and participatory approaches, participants gain insight into various policy domains, available resources, and strategies for intervention. They develop confidence in shaping manageable strategies and can transfer good practices to their local contexts, fostering effective youth policy development and implementation across Europe.
