A documentary showing the Human Situation in Ukraine, whilst setting it in the historical context.
We dive deep into the inner circle of Russia's wary State, with the help of Kristaps Andrejsons, an experienced and renowned investigative Journalist from Latvia. Together we take a trip into the Ukrainian Nation, visit the front lines, and talk to insiders. At the same time, we contrast the historical perspective on the inside of the war with the human image of the people living it. As we visit different cities, we talk to civilians, mothers, daughters, and grandparents, who have to witness their nation under attack. The Documentary will be shot in two different styles. One focuses on information. Setting the context and providing narration. The other is a hyperrealistic view of the people living in this war. Kristaps Andrejsons has been watching Russia since the 2014 invasion of Crimea and the war that followed. In his Podcast, he exposed the Russian state since 2014 and gives deep insights into its inner circle. Victor Boldt is a Director and Photographer from Germany. His documentary work so far focused on topics like the Holocaust and youth activism, while his photographs show an intimate perspective on the human psyche. Together they seek to paint a vivid picture of the largest catastrophe that has shaken the 21st century and show western audiences a side of the Russian state, they turned a blind eye to for so many years.
