Include Me

Include Me aims to address the rising issue of hate speech and discrimination, particularly online, in Germany. The project responds to the strict hate speech laws in the country, established in the aftermath of Nazism. The objective is to equip youth workers and leaders with tools to recognize, challenge, and transform hate speech into anti-discrimination messages through social advertisements. The training course, titled "Include Me," focuses on experiential learning and non-formal participative methods. It seeks to enhance the cultural awareness of participants, address stereotypes and prejudices, and harness media, including social platforms, as tools against discrimination.

The impact of the project is envisioned at both individual and organizational levels. Participants gain competencies to combat discrimination, reflect on their attitudes and prejudices, and contribute to creating socially inclusive societies. Participating organizations strengthen their capacities in project management, Erasmus + Programme, and addressing discrimination challenges. The project produced tangible outcomes, including seven social advertisements, a social media portal, 30 local youth work activities, and 16 youth exchanges and participatory projects over the next two years.
