Training 4 Trainers

All consortium partners were pro-actively involved in working with disadvantaged, unemployed, fewer opportunities youth and refugees using NFE tools for organising local and international activities to support inclusion of those target groups. Considering the need for constant development of the methods, adapting those to the current needs of youth, communities, countries and the whole of Europe, youth workers would benefit hugely of improving their manner of presenting, organising activities, interacting and engaging the youth groups during trainings, seminars, workshops, events. In this way, by empowering the “how”, behind the huge range of activities that can be delivered, through this TC youth workers were supported in developing competences that facilitated reaching out towards a diverse range of youth target groups NEETs, fewer opportunities, marginalised, refugees for responding to their needs. Boosting their above skills, youth workers related better, transferring messages better, designing creative activities, organising the environment, empathising and facilitating accelerated learning processes with the main outcome to involve NEET youth in the process.

At the end of the Training course besides the manual from the trainer, participants created/adapted their own NFE methods for working with the youth target groups.

The project lasted for 9 full working days and took place in the town of Bacau from 10-20 October 2019 (2 travel days included). The activity program introduced a variety of methods, based on non formal education in order to ensure interactive learning opportunities and active involvement of participants.

The project had the possibility of impacting long-term the local community as the participants developed a variety of skills that boosted their ways of engaging with groups, designing activities and planning workshops, promoting their organisations and opening the possibility for new collaborations at local, regional, national and international levels.

By using the methods delivered in the project combined with the topics of their expertise (i.e. sports activities, dance, movement, theatre, after school activities), youth workers easily impacted the skill and competence level of the youth and fellow social/youth workers, educators in their communities through implementing workshops, trainings, courses tailored for each group’s needs.

In addition to the planned activiy, participants started planning follow-up activities under Erasmus+ programme, dedicated to the youth target groups in order to strengthen the cooperation between the partner organisation at international and local levels.

“T4T” aimed to reunite a number of 31 youth workers in Bacau, Romania, as a follow up activity to the successful TC “Art of Changing” which taught youth workers Coaching and NLP techniques at the end of 2018. The consortium of partners expanded its members due to the promotion made by participants and organisations through the high impact of the NFE methods shared. The aim was to develop the youth workers’ methods and tools to access the fewer opportunities and marginalized youth in the communities of the partners organisations, as well as from the rural areas by equipping them with NFE training and facilitation skills.
